At very low quantities, garment production does not scale down proportionally. A 50-piece order still requires most of the setup, coordination and production attention of a larger run, but those costs are distributed across far fewer garments.

An unanswered question during development can become an expensive problem during production. Fabric, fit, construction, wash, trims, measurements or finishing — anything left open to interpretation introduces risk.
